If a son always obeys his father, whenever he does anything foolishly, the father will always overlook him because he knows he's just flesh. Any son bent on disobedience will always see his father's wrath. If a son falls into this category, his situation isn't ordinary anymore. The spirit of rebellion has entered his heart. If you know what's right and choose to do the opposite, people will call you foolish because you have your sanity. But if your sanity is taken away from you, people will know you're acting under the influence of another spirit that overpowered My Spirit in you. I Am the Almighty God. I Am the Great I Am That I Am. I Am the Great Judge. My judgement is right and final.
What brings rebellion? Sin! If a father lives in obedience to My Word, where will his son get the spirit of rebellion? A man will only reap whatever he sows. Whichever spirit lives inside you will share himself to your children. Many times, as they spread, they become more powerful. Whenever they're alone, their power is limited, but the moment they multiply, they become a group or family. As a man, if you have a piece of farmland, you'll labour on it alone. You'll spend more time finishing your work. But if you have children, they'll assist you in whatever work you do. Demons have their own family, too. As you are, so they are. They produce children. The longer you allow them to live in you, the more they will enlarge their coast.
There is no smoke without fire. If your son has a particular character in him, before you blame him, check yourself. Check yourself because you're the one that gave birth to him. Check yourself because he didn't fall from the sky. It takes two to produce children. If you can't trace it to yourself, look at the life of your wife. It's very rare before a spirit could hijack the heart of your child. When David lived in obedience to My Word, did anything happen to him? The moment he stretched forth his hand to commit sin, what happened to him? His whole life was shattered. He never had peace until his death. You committed all manner of sins and later gave your life to Jesus Christ. Did you confess your sins? Ask yourself this question! Did you confess your sins? Think very well about all the sins you've committed. You failed to confess your sins and gave birth to all your children with the same body. Where do you put the spirits of the sins you committed? They will share themselves to your children and their children's children.
It doesn't matter who you are. Even My servants face the same thing. Theirs is the worst because of who I created them to be. If they fail to live their lives in My presence, Satan will use their children to cause confusion in their ministry. That's why the children of most servants of God are the worst children. And even if they cleansed themselves properly before marriage and both the man and wife are holy, if they fail to do My work the way they should do it, Satan will take revenge on their children. For example, My servants should depend on Me to meet their needs. Their children could live a wayward life through the kind of money they received from their church members. How could you trace waywardness to gifts from your congregation? I Am the Almighty God, and I know all things. In conclusion, let holiness be everything about your life throughout your journey.
Absalom was a handsome young man who loved his father. He obeyed his father in everything. However, his obedience was cut short the moment his father committed atrocities that made Almighty God lay a curse on him. Obedience gives birth to fruitfulness and every good thing, but disobedience gives birth to disaster and death. If a man lives in obedience to the Word of the Father, though still a flesh, no matter how far he goes, he knows his limit. He knows the boundary that Almighty Father has set for him that thus far you can go. The moment he crosses this boundary, he steps on the cobra's tail, and the venom of the cobra will take his peace away.
Many parents wonder what has happened to their children. If a man lives in obedience to the Word of the Father, then he gives himself peace. He and his entire family will enjoy peace. But they'll not live in peace if he chooses to live otherwise. Whatever happens to the children is rooted in their parents. That's why, as parents, before you blame your children, check your hands. Check your hands to know if they're dirty. If your hands are clean, if there's no cockroach in your cupboard, tell me where the spirit of rebellion will enter your children. As it is for the father, so is it for the mother.
The Bible says in the Book of Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and even when he is old he will not depart from it." If you, as a parent, don't obey the Father, how can your children obey you? They'll only bring you shame and disgrace. The Bible says again in the Book of Ephesians 6:4, "And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord."
And …
Apostle Paul, who wrote this passage, was speaking to a group of people – children before he turned to the root of their lives – fathers. The lives of children are tied to their parents, especially their fathers. Though the mother spends more time with them, the fear of a father in the children goes a long way. It is generally understood that mothers have a soft spot for their children, while fathers are the tough ones. This balance should always be in a family, and everything should be rooted in the Word and fear of the Father. If this is achieved, tell me where Satan will pass through to hijack the hearts of the children. You can only give whatever you have. If you don't have the fear of the Father, how can you teach your children? If you don't teach your children, how will they have your fear and the fear of the Father? But I pray for you today that Jehovah God will give you a heart of obedience and the grace to train your children in His way, in Jesus' name. Amen! May the Lord give you the grace to walk with Him in Jesus' name.
