Like Lot's Wife

Word from the Father

The environment you live in has an impact on your daily life. This was why I destroyed many neighbouring nations around the children of Israel so they could live in peace and do My will. If you live in an environment where people don’t have My fear, their lives will affect you because they all have the same mind, but you’re on your own. Most works I did in the lives of My children in the time of old were straightforward because My children lived together; they didn’t scatter abroad. If you’re living in a hostile environment and you’re rescued so that their lives wouldn’t affect yours, rejoice and accept your life as you see it. I Am the Almighty God. I Am the Originator. I Am the Great Deliverer. Sin is an abomination to Me.

If you live in a land where almost everybody doesn’t have My fear, you must work very hard to maintain your holiness. When I was about to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, My son Abraham pleaded with Me because of his nephew Lot. I rescued him but wiped away the rest because of their evil. When he and his household were rescued, his wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt. She didn’t just look back for looking sake; she remembered everything she had and wished she could go back. Imagine the kind of land she lived in, and she valued all she had more than her life because the spirit of the land had overtaken her heart completely. Though she was rescued for the sake of Lot, she followed the path she belonged. She belonged to the people of Sodom because of her heart.

After her husband and children were rescued, what did they do to their Father? They made him drunk and laid with him so they could conceive. What an evil heart! The spirit of sexual immorality that took over the whole land of Sodom and Gomorrah had overtaken their heart. If there was no man in the land, why didn’t they go to Abraham and pick husbands for themselves instead of committing such evil? This is what it means to live in an evil land, a lawless land where evil dwells. Their hands were full of all manner of abominations. I warned them several times, and they failed to listen. This was why I wiped them off. Through this, all of you will know that every land that promotes evil shall be destroyed. I Am the Almighty God. I Am the Great Judge. I Am the Owner of all the children. If you choose not to serve Me, I won’t force you, but don’t use your own to disturb others. If you allow your evil to influence the life of the few who desire to serve Me, you’ll manage whatever you see.

Sodom and Gomorrah weren’t the only lands I destroyed totally because of their evil. If the cup of their sin is full to the top, I’ll come down and act. If such a judgement doesn’t happen in your lifetime and the land continues in her lawlessness, it’s only a matter of time; I will destroy it. I created it, and I can do it as My heart desires. I Am not a wicked Father, but sin is an abomination to Me. Therefore, if you love your life and the inhabitants of the land you live in are living in lawlessness, don’t join them. Don’t join them so that you’ll not drink from the cup of My wrath when it’s full. Let My fear be in your heart at all costs so that your life can be spared.

My Emphasis

When the Father called Abraham, Lot went with him because of the Father. He wasn’t part of the Covenant, but he was blessed for the sake of Abraham. Even when they were about to be separated, he chose by sight. He chose the greener part of the land because he was spiritually blind. This landed him in the land of Sodom. Even when taken among the captives, Abraham went with all the men in his household to rescue him. An old man jeopardised his own life to rescue Lot. But from time memorial, the land of Sodom wasn’t a land where a righteous man should live. The lawlessness of the people of Sodom took over the lives of Lot’s family. His wife was number one. The Father wouldn’t have regretted it if He had wiped away Lot and his entire household with all the inhabitants of Sodom. For the sake of the Covenant He made with Abraham, He favoured him and stretched His hand of rescue to him and his household, which he received wholeheartedly. Just as he was blindfolded with material things when he was about to depart from Abraham, his wife was also blindfolded with the goodies of Sodom. This led to her destruction, and her name will never erase in history.

That which belongs to a man is nothing compared to his life. When there is life, there is hope. Unfortunately, many Christians cherish the work of their hands more than their own life. Riches and wealth will pass away, but the life of God in a man will live forever. Nobody deserves anything from the Father, yet, we blame Him for every little thing that happens to us. Like Lot’s wife who was saved by grace, saved because of Lot her husband, but the things of this Earth took her life away. She became a pillar of salt.

Many of us were saved by grace. We willingly came to the Master and accepted Him just as He accepted us. When we had enough of His love, our hearts began to dance to and fro because of the things we love. Now we try to combine the things of this world with the things of the Father. This is why the church has turned into a synagogue of Satan. The Bible says in the Book of John 4:24 that, “God is a Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” If we’re truthful to the Father, we’re truthful to ourselves. If we’re not truthful to Him, we’re not truthful to ourselves as well. We cannot keep treading on two roads at the same time. We must choose one out of the two. If we choose the path of the Father, there’s a reward for us in the end. Don’t let us behave like Lot’s wife who substituted the grace given to her for the things of this world and lost her life in the end. We were saved by grace, and if we value this grace, the Father will glorify Himself in our lives. I pray for you this day that Jesus Christ will hold you by His hand and lead you to the end of your journey in Jesus' name. Amen! May the Lord give you the grace to walk with Him in Jesus' name.

If a man breathes his last breath, his Spirit departs and continues his life elsewhere. Whatever life he lives here will determine his destination and how his next life will be.
