Light In Darkness

Word from the Father

I Am the Almighty God. I Am the Light, and in Me, there is no darkness. I created light and darkness. Darkness is as light to Me. As I Am, so are My children, those who put their trust in Me.

If you’re My true child, you’re a light to the world. The Earth is full of darkness, but the children of the Earth see the light through My children. If the children of the world cannot see the light through you, then you’re not My true child. All My sons and daughters carry light wherever they go. They don’t walk in darkness. As there is no darkness in Me, so also there is no darkness in My children. My children have My fear; they run away from sin because they know it brings darkness.

Are you My true child? Do you carry light wherever you go? Do people of this world see the light through you? Ask yourself this question. If you still live your life like every other person in this world, then you’re not My true child, and you have no place in Me. My children are light bearers. They are My ambassadors. Darkness has no power over them because they always emulate My Son whom I shed His blood for them. They are peacemakers. They dwell in an atmosphere of peace. They always carry out My assignment wherever they are. They love Me with all their heart. They do not get carried away easily with the things of this Earth. Their focus and attention are always on My throne. They wholeheartedly accept they’re strangers on a journey, heading home someday. Are you My true son or daughter? Do people see My light through you?

My Emphasis

We are the light of the world because our Saviour shines through us – (see John 8:12 and Matthew 5:14-16). The world we live in is full of darkness. The more holy people we have in the world, the better the world will be. The world sees the light through the Saints of the Father. This is why it’s an abomination for us to live like the people of the world. Jesus Christ said we’re in the world, but we’re not of the world. This precisely distinguishes us from everybody else. We are a different set of people because of the Spirit of holiness in us.

As children of the Kingdom, our ways of life, attitude, and character should portray light. People of this age should emulate us, not the opposite. They should seek our help, not the opposite. If we’re light-bearers, it’ll be very tough for the enemy to penetrate our lives.

We are like the moon which has no light. She accumulates light from the sun during the day and shines in the sky to give light at night. As the Father shines through the Son, so the Son shines through us. The light then shines through us to the people of the world. Wherever we are, in our homes, in our place of work, and even in the marketplace, we are to shine as light. If we leave any environment, people should miss our light. This shows we’re truly children of God. Therefore, let us remove every trace of darkness from us so that our light can shine brighter and brighter. Remember, “The path of the righteous is like a morning light that shines ever brighter until the full day.” (Proverbs 4:18). May the Lord give you the grace to walk with Him in Jesus' name.

"Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon." Isaiah 55:6-7
