When I sold My children to Babylon, Daniel and his friends were among them. There were thousands of them, but they distinguished themselves. When it was time for them to decide whether to obey the King or Me, they chose to follow Me. Though it cost them their lives, I didn’t disappoint them; I rescued them. They were very happy they made their decision, but it wasn’t easy. It was a matter of life and death. The King gave his verdict, and he sentenced them to death. But I proved Myself as the Great Deliverer! I overpowered the fire, and it couldn’t consume them. The King himself went ahead and gave glory to Me. I Am the Almighty God. The Great I Am That I Am is My name. No one battles with Me and Win. I Am the Great Deliverer.
They were not the only ones taken captive. Many among their fellows bowed to the King and defied My Law. They chose to fear him who had power over their body and defied Me, the One who has power over their soul. All My children who obeyed Me even to the point of death are all with Me. I crowned them because they didn’t deny Me. Death had no power over them! You can do the same also. I Am the Owner of this Earth. Will you allow the Earth to take you away from Me? You can deny the Earth by standing for Me at all costs. No matter what you may face, rejoice because you have Me, the One who is greater than death. Affliction doesn’t last forever, but I will never expire. I remain the same forever.
We have so many examples of those who have gone ahead of us. They were afflicted and even faced death, but they didn’t succumb. They held to what they had. Even death couldn’t break their faith. They conquered death. But today, we get carried away with little issues of life. We’re like a drunkard who can’t walk straight on the road but are tossed around by the wave of alcohol. Perseverance is an attribute of he who wants to walk with the Father. Only those who endure till the end shall be crowned – (see Matthew 24:13).
Sometimes, the Father Himself does test us to see our reaction. Unfortunately, we fail most of the time. Yet, He is faithful and will never allow temptation we couldn’t endure to overcome us. No matter what we may face in our pilgrim journey, let us rejoice, for our Lord is walking with us. He will neither leave us nor forsake us at all. He is our strength whenever we’re weak. He’ll carry us on His eagle’s wings and lead us to glory. Rejoice, I say rejoice! May the Lord give you the grace to walk with Him in Jesus' name.
