Humble Within

Word from the Father

Blessed is the man who loves correction. He will not stumble even in the days of darkness. Cursed is he who is wise in his own eyes. He will stumble even in broad daylight. Woe to you whose heart is proud. Woe to you whose strength is in himself. What are you that you forget your Creator? You’re just a flesh taken from the soil to live. You’re like a beautiful flower that rises beautifully in the morning, quenches by the heat of the day at noon, and in the evening, goes down to the fire because it’s dried up. Who understands the ways of the Almighty? I Am He who formed the Earth out of waters. I levelled the ground for man to see a place to set his foot. I determine the course of the day by My power. I also tell it to recede to its abode. Who knows the origin of light? Who knows the place of its dwelling? Who knows the origin of darkness? Who knows its dwelling place? I Am the Creator of darkness and light. No one understands everything I created and for what purpose I created it. I Am the Owner of life and death. I Am the Almighty God. Jehovah is My name. Darkness is as light to Me. I walk and move in the light. I wear light as a garment. I hate a proud heart. I love a humble heart.

When you were born, you were just a baby who depended on his parents for everything. You had hands, yet, you couldn’t use any of them. You had legs, yet, you couldn’t walk. You had a mouth, yet, you couldn’t feed yourself. Now you are an adult, and you think you’ve arrived. I love those who depend on Me, who recognise the limitation of their strength. Those who put their trust in Me shall be like an unmovable mountain. I will be their shield and shelter. Those who put their trust in Me never fight their own battle. They depend solely on Me to take revenge on their behalf.

All of you have given your life to My Son, yet, you run your own life as you wish. Whenever somebody offends you, that’s when people will know the kind of person you are. Your heart is arrogant and proud. You find it hard to say sorry. An adult could offend a child. When he realises it, he’ll apologise to that child. The same Spirit in a child also lives in an adult. They are both My making. Any soul that wants to come to Heaven must wear the garment of humility. He must pull away the garment of arrogance and pride. The heart of every man is open before Me. I know every intent and plan of it. I weigh every heart before I make My judgement.

If you’re a true Christian, you must forgo a lot of things for the sake of Heaven. You must allow Me to fight for you in everything. You don’t fight for yourself. Every pattern of life you’ve lived in the past must be gone with your past. You don’t remember them anymore, either good or bad. You must take it that the present life you live in Me is the best you can ever live. Those who knew you before must see the light of My Word in you. They must see the water of Christianity in you. The river of humility must flow around you wherever you go. How will people know that Christ lives in you? Can they cut your heart open and see what’s there? They can only see Him through the life you live in the physical. You cannot live a humble life physically if your heart is dark. If your heart is dark, it will also show in the physical. Therefore, pull away every garment of sin and put on the garment of humility, which is the garment of holiness.

My Emphasis

The life of a man is seen through his action. A Christian by mouth isn’t a Christian at all. Until your action backs what comes out of your mouth, this is the only way people will know your true identity in Christ. Many of us have a proud heart. There is no trace of humility in us. You’re not a Christian until you’re proven. Whenever somebody offends you, that’s when people will know whether you’re a Christian or not. Many of us still wear the old garment of self-centeredness. We still wear the garment of pride. We even find it hard to say sorry whenever we offend somebody. If you find it hard to say sorry when you offend somebody, what then will you do if somebody offends you? All hell will break loose!

The Bible says in the Book of Isaiah 57:15 and Isaiah 66:1-2, “For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” Thus says the Lord: “Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest? For all those things My hand has made, and all those things exist,” says the Lord. "But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word.”” The heart of a man is the life of a man. Whatever lives in it shapes up his entire being. As a Christian, if humility cannot be found in your heart, then you’re not who you confess you are.

Whenever some of us speak, we speak as if we’re the ones that own the life of another person. The Almighty God Himself, who owns all things, still knows how to frame His Word. If He decides to speak because of who He is, nobody will arrest Him. Yet, humility is found in His Word. He is a true Father indeed. The Bible says again in the Book of 1 Samuel 2:3, “Talk no more so very proudly; Let no arrogance come from your mouth, for the Lord is the God of knowledge; and by Him, actions are weighed.” The word that comes out of our mouth is spirit. It can impact somebody’s life for good or evil. The kind of word that comes out of many Christians is disaster. You may offend somebody through the word you speak from your mouth and say sorry. That person may never forget it even if your apology is accepted.

There is no amount of preaching that one may preach if the heart of the hearer isn’t prepared for it. Many Christians have a stony heart. That’s why they attend church service, listen to the preaching, and their lives remain the same. Those who have humble heart breaks down in tears when the truth is preached. Whenever the word of holiness enters their heart, they feel like a convicted criminal. Their heart becomes sorrowful. The Bible says in the Book of 2 Corinthians 7:10 that “Godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.” And finally, Micah 6:8 says, “He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?” I pray for you today that Jesus Christ will give you His kind of heart so that your service in Him will not be a waste in Jesus' name. Amen! May the Lord give you the grace to walk with Him in Jesus' name.

"Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon." Isaiah 55:6-7
