My Emphasis
Simon Peter and his brethren had toiled the whole night until early morning looking for fish to catch, yet they caught nothing. When morning came, while they were washing their net, Jesus Christ came and sat inside his boat preaching. After His preaching, to compensate him for his patience, He instructed him to set out his boat once again, just to move a little bit away from the shore and cast down his net. As a fisherman, he would leave home and observe a vigil at the sea until early morning before he’ll wash his net and go back home. The whole night was very stressful for him because not even a single fish entered his net. But a Preacher came from nowhere and told him to do what he wouldn’t do. The Bible says in the Book of Luke 5:5, “When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word, I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.”
“At Your word.”
The Bible says in the Book of I Corinthians 1:18, “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” For any man to believe in the unseen, his Spirit must be alive in the Invisible Father. If his Spirit is dead, he cannot believe whatever he hears. Because his Spirit is dead, every spiritual word he hears will be to him like mere smoke that fades away in seconds. The Bible says in the Book of Romans 4:3 and James 2:23 that “Abraham believed God and it was counted for him as righteousness.” Every man is a sinner. And for the Father to speak to you and you obey, that alone means something in the hand of the Father. Every single word He tells you go a long way because He knows how the future will be. And if He’s dealing with you, He’s dealing with you not because of today but because of the future. And whatever He asks you to do, He knows that many of His children will come to benefit from it. The Bible says in the Book of John 11:49-50, “And one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them, “You know nothing at all, nor do you consider that it is expedient for us that one man should die for the people, and not that the whole nation should perish.”” This is a prophetic utterance in itself! For a man to follow the Word of the Almighty, it’s like one who willingly lays down his life because you don’t know how the outcome would be. If a man hands over an envelope to you, he could tell you anything, but you don’t know what’s inside until you open it. This is how the Word of the Father is. Though it may be unpleasant from the onset, the end result of it will be glorious.
Jehovah God is not a talkative. If He speaks to you, then He means business. Every single Word He speaks carries weight. Therefore, the recipient of His Word is a highly blessed soul. When Lucifer failed to hold his Father by His Word, he paid dearly for it. In fact, he and his children and their generation are still paying the price today, and they’ll pay it until eternity. It doesn’t worth it taking the Word of the Father for granted because the aftermath of disobedience doesn’t worth living for. I pray for you this day that Holy Spirit will set His fire into your heart so that you can and will always live in obedience to His Word in Jesus' name. Amen! May the Lord give you the grace to walk with Him in Jesus' name.
