If a man worked hard and established a company and it collapsed, he’ll sit down and think very deep to know where everything went wrong. But if he started another one and it collapsed again, that means he’s a foolish man. If a man married a woman and the marriage collapsed, he’ll sit down and think very deep to know where he went wrong. But if he married another wife and the marriage collapsed again, that means he’s a foolish man. If a man bought a car and the engine got knocked, he’ll sit down and think to know what went wrong. But if he bought another car and the same thing happened again, that means he’s a foolish man. If a man built a house and it collapsed, he’ll sit down and think very deep to know what went wrong. But if he built another one and the same thing happened again, that means he’s a foolish man. If you fall into a pit once and you fall into it the second time, those who heard about the former and the latter will call you a foolish man. I Am the Almighty God. I Am the Owner of wisdom.
Many of you made one mistake and made the same mistake again without seeking counsel. As a Christian, if you fail once, what assurance do you have that you’ll not fail again? If your business failed once and you started another one, what assurance do you have that this one won’t fail again? If you were once married and the marriage collapsed, and you’re married again, what assurance do you have that this one too will not collapse? If you’ve killed somebody before, what assurance do you have that you won’t kill another person? It’s a saying that he who falls into a pit will stand as an example to others not to fall into the same pit. But all of you fall into the same pit once again.
Nothing happened because it just wanted to happen. Whatever happened has a root. There’s a spirit of evil that controls it. Until I rebuke such spirit away from your life, that’s the only way you’ll not make the same mistake again. I Am the Creator and the Controller of every Spirit both good and bad. Satan cannot act without My approval. Evil befalls all of you every day because of your sin. But if you sober and wash your hands clean, I will silence that controlling demon that controls your life.
Who created demons? Who owns evil? I Am the Owner! None of you has power over demons. Even if you sold your soul to them, you don’t have control over them. They only obey you because they use you to accomplish their evil mission. But if you’re not careful, they can destroy you too. Therefore, demons can never be a friend with human beings. Right from the beginning, I created you as light, but they’re darkness. No matter how you sold your soul to them, there’s still an element of light in you. But they’re full of darkness within and without.
All of you take everything for granted. Whatever happened to you is a chance for you to learn about the issues of life. The best thing you should do is to sit back and think deeply about where everything went wrong. I Am the God of a second chance. I will give you another chance if only you seek My face. But if you fail to think and seek My counsel, you can make the same mistake a hundred times; that’s none of My business.
Whatever went wrong in the life of a man is a chain that connects his past to his future. If this chain is not broken, a similar occurrence will take place again. This is why you see some men married five or six times. It is evil! And if this starts with one man, it will continue down his generation.
When the children of Jacob disobeyed him, he was very angry, and he laid a curse on them before he died. He forgot that he was the author of whatever atrocity his children had committed. Whatever happened in our life, the Father doesn’t want it to continue down the generation but expects us to think deeply and find a solution to it in our lifetime so that nobody will suffer such a thing again throughout our generation. Just as death and hardship came to us through Adam, so also life, eternal life came to us through Jesus Christ our Saviour. The Father wants us to learn through this so that that which plagued a man will end there.
The same Father who said in the Book of Exodus 20:5, “I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me.” He also said in the Book of Ezekiel 18:1-4, “Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, "What do you mean by using this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, 'The fathers eat the sour grapes, But the children's teeth are set on edge'? As I live, declares the Lord God, you are surely not going to use this proverb in Israel anymore. Behold, all souls are Mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine. The soul who sins will die.”” He went further to lay more emphasis on this throughout the whole chapter.
Therefore, as aforementioned, it’s a taboo for a man to fall into the same pit twice and a greater taboo for his children to fall into the same pit, especially in this age of enormous wisdom and knowledge. The Word of the Father is there, alive and fresh for us every day so that no matter what strategy the enemies derived to hurt us, we can escape their traps through the revelation in His Word. I pray for you this day that the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Jehovah God will open your heart and eyes to see where you’ve missed it, so you can sit back and think deeply and the light of Him who died for you on the cross will shine upon every darkness of your life in Jesus' name. Amen! May the Lord give you the grace to walk with Him in Jesus' name.
